Planning or preventing a pregnancy is now as easy as one, two, three with the new daysy fertility monitor. Here’s what you need to know about this family planning tool.

Daysy is a new state-of-the-art fertility monitor that can act as a family planning tool by tracking your menstrual cycle to plan or prevent pregnancy.

All natural and free of any side effects, the daysy fertility monitor shows a woman whether she is fertile or not, with an accuracy rate of 99.3%.

“Natural family planning”

Daysy is called a “natural family planning” tool. It’s not contraception, but rather helps the users be aware of their fertile days by observing your menstrual cycle and some statistical properties of it.

Fertility awareness methods are based on the fact that sperm can live for a finite amount of time in the female body:

  • For up to eight days around the day of ovulation there is a statistical probability of conception.
  • Sperm can remain active and fertile in a woman’s body for a maximum of five days.
  • This means there are only six days in every cycle when a woman can fall pregnant: five days before ovulation and the day of ovulation.

It’s as safe as the birth control pill

With a Pearl index of 0.7, daysy is as safe as the birth control pill. The Pearl index is the most common technique used in clinical trials for reporting the effectiveness of a birth control method.

How does it work?

Founded on 30 years of medical and technological research and the analysis of five million women’s cycles, daysy measures day-to-day basal body temperature (BBT) to know about a woman’s cycle.

How to use daysy

  1. Every morning, take your temperature under your tongue.
  2. Confirm menstruation on the days you have it.
  3. Daysy evaluates your data and calculates your fertility status for the next 18 hours.

Traditionally, BBT is not very effective in predicting the ovulation window to aid conception, because the method is only able to estimate the ovulation date after the fact.

The technology in daysy uses statistical methods based on the previous cycles to provide a prognosis of the ovulation data upon which the users can act.

Daysy’s algorithm is unique: it accurately determines, analyses and displays your individual cycle. It is 99.3% effective right from the start and its efficiency has been confirmed by a number of independent studies.
