Is it safe to wax during pregnancy?

Yes it is safe. However, it will be a bit more painful than usual. Your skin is likely to be more sensitive and itchy now that you’re pregnant, because of all the hormonal changes in your body. You also have extra blood flowing to your skin, especially in your pubic area. This may mean your bikini wax, and the regrowth of hair, is more uncomfortable.

Are the products harmful to the baby?

At WAXIT, we use hypoallergenic wax that’s not harmful to your baby. We also coat the skin in a jasmine oil which helps alleviate the pain.

Why should I wax down there when Im pregnant?

When you are ready to give birth, you want to make sure it’s tidy so the doctors can easily see what’s happening. If you are having a C-section, you will be required to shave your pubic hair if you haven’t already had a wax.

How far into the pregnancy can you still go for waxes?

This all depends on your pain tolerance. The closer you get to your delivery date, the more sensitive you will be. The best is to maintain your waxes. If you pop in every month for your wax, you will get used to it. You can go for your final wax a week before your delivery date.

It’s important to check with your doctor first before booking your wax, just to be on the safe side.
