Clicks BabyClub #Meetup brings a fresh concept for new parents
Author, speaker and pioneer of the well-known Baby Sense Seminars, Meg Faure has announced a fresh approach to new-parent events, which will be hosted in five cities around South Africa in 2017, in partnership with Clicks BabyClub.
With the popular worldwide phenomenon, TEDx Talks in mind, Faure said creating a high energy and entertaining experience for new parents would be top priority for these events.
“It was important for me to create something fresh and modern. The days of sitting through lengthy lectures in bland venues staring at a wordy PowerPoint presentation for 40 minutes are over,” Faure said.
The Clicks BabyClub #Meetup will offer a full day event, divided into four themes: Pregnancy Sense, Baby Sense, Play Sense and Parenting Sense. Each theme will see parenting experts; scientists and celebrities present 15-minute thought-leadership talks aimed to both educate and entertain. With attendees being able to pick and choose the talks they want to see – stay all day or simply for the session that entices them.
Speakers include: Comedian dad, Chris Forrest, celebrity mom, Joanne Strauss and parenting expert Nikki Bush to name a few.
Dates and venues:
- 2 September, The Maslow, Johannesburg
- 9 September, Ratanga Junction, Cape Town
- 23 September, Moses Mabidha, Durban
