A-box-a-day advent calendar

Your little ones will love opening their gift boxes every day for the countdown to Christmas.

You will need

  • 24 box templates printed from the template here.
  • Scissors
  • Glue stick
  • Marker pen
  • Small gifts


  1. Print the templates and cut around the outside line.
  2. Write 1 to 24 on the templates.
  3. Fold along all lines.
  4. Glue the marked sections and assemble.
  5. Fill with small gifts and sweets before stacking into a triangle.

A box a day advent calendar

Sock advent calendar

A cute idea for your little one’s first Christmas.

You will need

  • 24 socks
  • Medium thickness ribbon
  • 24 small pegs with decorations
  • Marker
  • Small gifts


  1. Write 1 to 24 on the peg decorations with the marker.
  2. Fill each sock with a gift.
  3. Hang the ribbon and peg the socks onto the ribbon in number order.

Watch Father Christmas’s beard grow in the countdown to Christmas.

You will need


  1. Print out the Father Christmas advent calendar.
  2. Each day, let your little one place a blob of glue on a cotton wool ball and stick over the relevant number.
