The new Frozen movie will be coming to theatres on 1 December, which means parents will no doubt be receiving requests for Frozen-inspired birthday parties. But, don’t despair. It doesn’t have to cost an arm and a leg to make your little one’s Frozen dreams come true. “You can go all out without breaking the bank by using a few clever gimmicks and employing entrepreneurial home bakers and entertainers, rather than going the conventional retail route,” says Gumtree marketing manager Estelle Nagel.
She shares the following tips to throw a Frozen-themed birthday party on a budget:
You can’t have a Frozen-themed party without snow. While we might not have the climate for the real deal, you can buy fake snow powder or rent a snow machine to transform your garage into a winter wonderland for the occasion.
They say that a party without a cake is just a meeting. Avoid high street bakeries and support a local baker in your area for a cake fit for an Ice Queen or King. Alternatively, give every princess a magic wand with this waffle stick making machine that’s for hire.
We could all use a little magic in our lives, and nothing is more magical than Elsa’s sparkling ice gown. You can order one online to make your little one sparkle at the party.
The Queen herself
Of course, if you really want to blow everyone away, you can hire Princess Elsa to attend your party. Amazing actresses and entertainers are happy to come to your party in costume to give kids plenty to smile about.
Every princess needs a castle, and with many for hire, there is no reason not to have one.
Whether you love Frozen or wish that your kids would just let it go, you can have a party worthy of a Disney fairytale.
With Frozen 2 coming to theatres on 1 December, Gumtree is giving away 3 sets of 4 tickets and popcorn combo vouchers to experience the magic in 4DX at Nu Metro. Don’t miss out on the magic – all you have to do to win is let something go on Gumtree and comment the link in the comments of this Facebook post.
