The Star Academy is offering parents the opportunity to keep their autistic children stimulated and to continue their learning with online sessions! Zoom or FaceTime can be utilised to deliver the instruction.

The Center for Autism and Related Disorders (CARD) have provided them with guidelines on how to support the autism community of South Africa during the lockdown period to ensure the continued learning and growth of ALL children with autism whose parents elect to enrol their services.

How it works

Choose the number of hours per day you’d like support

Some children won’t require parental assistance, in which case online learning including academics can continue. For other children, they can continue their skill acquisition through working with their parents and/or caregivers online.

Let them know if you’d like parent training

For those parents who are at home with their children and want to embrace the opportunity to help their children develop certain skills while at home, this is the perfect time to take advantage of training. From behaviour intervention plans and adaptive skills, to communication and social skills and helping with your child’s downtime activities, Star Academy can assist you to make the days during lockdown count!

Request scheduled time on Zoom to suit your budget

The Star Academy team is trained and ready to roll this out for you.
