Your feet may be sore and swollen, but that doesn’t mean you should neglect your toetsies. By giving your feet a mini-pedi you will make them look and feel so much better.

Here’s how to get the perfect pedi in five easy steps:

1. Soak your feet in warm water with a relaxing foot soak.

Try Freeman Bare Foot Peppermint and Plum Foot Soak, R50. If you don’t have a fancy foot spa you can simply soak them
in a big bowl.

2. Invest in a great foot file

Use the rough edge off the Tweezerman Sole Mates Foot File, R295, to buff away any dry, dead or cracked skin. Then flip the file over and use the smoother side to refine the area you have just scrubbed.

3. Invest in an exfoliator

Use a course exfoliator like Milk Solutions Milk & Honey Exfoliating Cream, R220, to remove any other dead skin cells on your feet. Rinse and dry off your feet.

4. Moisturise

Massage a rich, quick absorbing foot cream into your legs and feet. Try BioNike Proxera Body Emulsion, R90, perfect for thirsty skin.

5. The final step

Take a cotton ball soaked in nail polish remover and gently wipe the cream off your nails. Make sure you trim and file your toenails. Apply a thin base coat to your nails, then two coats of your favourite colour. We’re in love with Crabtree & Evelyn Nail Lacquer in Apple, R160. Finish with a top coat and allow to dry.
