Finding ways for fathers to spend time with their precious ones on Father’s Day can be hard. Try these 5 simple fun activities. By Lijeng Ranooe

Father’s Day is a time to celebrate the amazing dads in your life. But it can be tricky to know what to do for dads to bond with their little ones. Here are a few simple activities to do on Father’s Day to make it special.

  • Explore new places

Exploring and making memories in new places can be one of the best bonding experiences for the whole family. Pick up the latest issue of Living and Loving for some outing suggestions across the country.

  • Have a movie night

Watching a movie can be a great time for both father and child, either as an excuse for cuddle time on the couch or to interact with what’s happening on screen together. We recommend Finding Dory and The Secret Life of Pets for a guaranteed laugh.

  • Play some fun board games

Playing is good for your child in many ways. The kids can make the board games from scratch or choose their favourite game to play with the family. As a Father’s Day bonus, let dad win every game!

  • Watch sport

Babies might be too young for the noise of a stadium but there’s nothing wrong with watching a match on television. It’s a great bonding activity, where the kids can share in their dad’s interests.

  • Go to the playground

Let dad take the little ones to the nearest playground, or, if the weather is a bit chilly, indoor centre for some active fun time together.
