Safe ear piercing for your princess

Considering piercing your little one's ears? Head over to Claire’s.

Claire’s has pierced more than 90 million ears worldwide in 47 countries for the past 20 years. Claire’s offers this free and safe service in its four stores in South Africa:

  • Cavendish Square, Cape Town
  • The Pavilion, Durban
  • Mall of Africa, Midrand
  • Clearwater Mall, Roodepoort

Available in a wide variety, the earrings used for piercing have been specially designed, with ultra-fine points and sharp posts. The earrings are individually packaged and sterilised at a state-of-the-art factory.

Claire’s has specially trained Piercing Princesses, who are qualified to pierce the ears of babies from the age of six months. She and a colleague simultaneously use two ear-piercing instruments, which have been cleaned and sanitised, so it’s over in a flash with just a little pinch, and is quick to heal. The Piercing Princess will take you through the process and assist you with signing the indemnity forms. Afterwards, she will coach you on how to take care of a new piercing using Claire’s Aftercare Solution, which is also free with every piercing.

Customers who are under 18 years old need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian, who will need proof of guardianship. In some cases, a form of identification (ID book, driver’s licence or passport) may be needed to confirm age. Babies will need to have had a DTaP vaccine, which typically takes place at eight weeks old.
