Destination baby names are becoming increasingly popular with A-listers finding inspiration from their favourite cities. Hunky actor Chris Hemsworth and his wife Elsa Pataky named their daughter India Rose while Reese Witherspoon named her son Tennessee – inspired by her home town. Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale named their firstborn after the Jamaican capital Kingston.

Girls’ names

Kimberly

It is often forgotten that in South Africa, Kimberly is the capital of the diamond mining city. Add a little sparkle to your family.

India

The girl’s name India has been around for some time – from a character in Gone with the Wind to Chris Hemsworth’s daughter, India Rose.

The small town of Carolina in Mpumalanga started as a stopover town back in the 19th century. Now the town is synonymous with outdoor beauty – and could possibly inspire your future daughter’s name.
