Feather the Owl is popping up all over mom groups on Facebook. Many moms are struggling with babies who’ve become bad sleepers during lockdown and since they had to go back to work, and they’re ready to try anything to just get one or two more hours of sleep a night.

What is Feather the Owl?

Feather the Owl was specifically designed for kids to help them sleep better at night, or even to energize them during play time – you can choose how you want to use it. The best part is that it’s not only a diffuser, it’s also a humidifier, a night-light and a white noise machine!

How do I use it?

You can use essential oils like Lavender, Mandarin and Neroli to burn in your diffuser if your baby is restless at night. This will help him sleep better. The night light is perfect if your little one is scared of the dark and the white noise machine has a selection of five different white noise options to drown out outside noises that might wake your child during the night.

Will it stay on the whole night?

Feather the Owl has different settings you can choose from. High mode will run continuously for about 5 to 6 hours, low mode will run for 8 hours and intermittent mode will run for 10 hours – 1 minute on – 1 minute off.

How much does it cost?

It depends where you order it from. On the Young Living Essential Oils website they cost R920 excluding shipping. But, a lot of moms on mommy groups are also selling them. So, if you want to try Feather the Owl ask on one of your groups if any mommies have any specials at the moment.

Moms from the #MomLife Facebook group share their reviews:

“We love ours. It is really helping a lot with our bad sleeper. He is 17-months-old. He slept his first EVER 6-hour stretch with the diffuser on….so we are grateful.”

“My son was an extremely bad sleeper and ever since I started using the owl I think out of the 4 months we’ve had 2 or 3 bad nights otherwise he is sleeping through.”

“I saw a difference on the first night already. I’m very happy with my Feather the Owl. I also struggle to sleep and both me and my son now sleep really well. I’ve had it for a week now, and so far, I’m only using the Lavender oil for sleep. It really is worth the money for me. The night light is not so bright and you can’t really see well with it at night, but sleep is more important than the light.”

“I am 37 weeks pregnant and I really struggled to sleep, I got the feather owl for when my baby comes, I decided to test it before and I now sleep like a charm.”

“We got Feather the Owl. The oils did unfortunately not work as well as we hoped. However, I am really pleased with the white noise that plays continuously. That is a big plus in my books plus the night light. I am not disappointed I got it but the oils didn’t work for us although it made the room smell so nice.”

“I used it on my little boy and it’s awesome as we found he actually likes light in his room and sound when sleeping. He’s had white noise in his room since birth. I tend to use Cedarwood and RC for babies instead of lavender.”

“I have been using mine for about 2 months now…. and I can say for my little one it works. Without it he wakes up 2 times a night and when I use the oils he sleeps through the night. I also did not want to spend so much money on something that does not work but I’m glad I did as it’s working wonders for my little one (and for mommy). He is more peaceful when he sleeps. So, from my side, mommy I will say YES get one.”
