Being a parent is the toughest job in the world. It’s a really crazy combination of constant challenges with loads of highlights and fun thrown in to the mix.
Parenting is about always second-guessing yourself and your decisions, but feeling so rewarded in that moment when you realise you did, in fact, make the right one. Parenthood is that feeling of being so exhausted that you’d sell your soul for a nap, but getting through the day and realising just how strong and capable you really are! And of course parenting is about those priceless, irreplaceable moments when you’re rewarded with a first smile, a first tooth, a first step and a first “I love you mommy,” and you realise how worthwhile all the effort is.
When the team at Living and Loving sat down to think about what our readers really needed from a parenting magazine, we wanted to make sure we reflected these sentiments. We wanted to convey the excitement and joy of being a parent as well as offer sound solutions to the tough challenges. And because we understand just how crazy a parents’ life can be, we wanted to offer all of this valuable information in a format that was quick and easy to read. And then, of course, it’s important to us that our readers feel that we’re there to support them on their parenting journey and more than anything we wanted you to feel inspired and encouraged.
The most important aspect of the change for us is that we have put together South Africa’s first ever, all South African advisory board consisting of over 25 of the most highly qualified, well-respected specialists in their fields. By doing this we’re able to ensure you’re getting the very best and latest information possible, straight from SA’s top experts.
But we won’t know if we’ve hit the mark unless we hear from you. Please grab a copy of our latest issue and tell us about what you’d like to see more of, what we’ve done well and what we could do better. Chat to us via facebook (like our LivingandLoving page), follow us on twitter and tweet us (@LivingLovingMag and @1nspiredliving) or send us a good old fashioned letter to
clareh@caxton.co.za. We try to answer as many letters and comments as we possibly can, but if you don’t get a response, we DO READ EVERY LETTER we receive!!
We look forward to hearing from you and joining you on your parenting journey.
