Mushroom, Bacon and Chicken Skewers

Wrapping veggies in bacon not only camouflages them, but gives them a delicious salty flavour that kids will love.

Makes 6

Ingredients

  • 200g mushrooms
  • 100g streaky bacon rashers cut in half
  • 2 x 150g chicken breasts, diced
  • 100ml barbeque sauce
  • 12 wooden bamboo skewers, soaked in cold water
Method

Cut the mushrooms in half and wrap them in strips of bacon.
Thread the bacon-wrapped mushrooms onto skewers, alternating with chunks of chicken.
Brush the sticks with barbeque sauce and grill for 10 minutes, turning them frequently.
