The easy Updo

The look: This stylish low bun is a must try. Not only is it easy to create, it works for just about any occasion, whether it’s a romantic date night or busy day at home or in the office.
Follow talented Gary Rom stylist, Freya Labuschagne’s step-by step guide to get to the look:

How to:
1. Section the top of the hair
2. Tease with a comb/ teasing brush from the root to mid lengths
3. Take hair back and smooth lightly with brush or comb
4. Position your pony tail where you would like it (mid length in this case)
5. Using an elastic band (with two bobby pins attached) pin/ secure one in, wrap the elastic around the hair and pin/ secure the other (this technique helps to eliminate any damage caused by an elastic)
6. Tease pony tail slightly for texture – this helps keep the hair in the bun (especially if the hair is fine)
7. Place your hand on the elastic and wrap the hair around to create the bun
8. Pin/ secure the hair with bobby pins around the bun
9. Finish off by using L’Oreal Professionnel Fix Airfix, R240 for any fly away’s
