Tip 5 tbsp (75ml) Sasko Slef-Raising Flour,
2 tbsp (30ml) castor sugar
and 2 tbsp (30ml) cocoa powder
into a mixing bowl. Make a well in the centre and add 3 tbsp (45ml) milk
, 1 large egg and 3 tbsp (45ml) sunflower
or canola oil
. Stir together, using a spatula, to mix well. Pour batter into the mug and microwave for 1 minute on high. Microwave for a further minute on high. Tip out onto a plate or eat straight from the mug.
Eat with a dollop of vanilla ice cream or a squirt of canned cream for a really indulgent dessert. OR Substitute the milk with strong coffee for a delicious mocha flavour.
- every microwave is a bit different; you may need to experiment a bit with yours to get the perfect result. If your cake is still runny after two minutes, give it another 30 second blast and test again.
